WRT54GS Performance with Powerbook

    Hi everybody,

I´m using a WRT54GS (EU) as Wireless Router. There is a powerbook connected via an Aiport Extreme Card and a Server machine via wired LAN.
I´m using official Firmware v4.50.9, the hardware is V1.

I measure the performance with scp from the server to the powerbook.

When I use "B-Only" Wireless Mode, I get 800 - 850kByte/sec throughput, thats quite ok.
When I use "G-Only" or "mixed" Mode, throughput comes down to about 100 - 200kByte/sec, thats definitely not ok.

AFAIK, there are no parameters I can adjust on the powerbook side. But the parameters I can adjust on the router don´t help me, because I can´t find a way to track the problem down and there are too many to just try and error.

Is here anybody who knows such problems?
And even if not, can somebody give me some hints how to find out the reason of the performance loss so that I can try to fix it in a more deterministic way?

I´m glad about any hint, so don´t hesitate.

    Thank you so far

    cheers
    Michael
