    Hi there. I own a WRT54GS v.2 .
I had installed DD-WRT and after some stupid thinking decided to install OpenWrt which had no Web interface. I found some web interfaces which were very simple but none of them had a way of uploading another firmware..
I want to get back to DD-WRT. I found that this is possible through tftp. I have turned boot wait on, but when I try to upload another firmware I get a no connection error. I use the tftp application in SUSE 9.3. I don't know if this is the problem.
    Does anyone have a solution?
Which tftp application should I use and how?
Is there a specific firmware I should use with tftp? ( I read somewhere that the firmware should be less than 3 MB)
I am not a linux guru and I also have a WinXP partition..
    Please help..
    Thank you.

Get original Linksys Software (from Linksys download center)

Then reset ur WRT to factory defaults (press resetbutton 30 secs, switch off)
define your local Network Address to
configure your local Networkcard to 10Mbit HALF-duplex

    In WinXP Commandprompt type

    tftp -i put Linksyssoft.bin

Press Enter and switch on immediatly your WRT

After awhile you should see sommething like .... transfer done ....

Now, wait 1 minute switch off/on and you have your baby back

PS: replace "linksyssoft.bin" with filename of the downloaded original softfilename ... of course

and the bin must be router specific, so use the WRT54G or WRT54GS one for tftp flashing. and always set tftp to binary mode

MBChris thank you for your precious info, after some unsuccessful attempts i figured out that the right syntax for the tftp command is:

    tftp -i put linksys.bin

and you must first turn the WRT on and then press enter
the transfer was successfull and now the baby is back!!! :D

Is there a DD-WRT version based on the linksys original 4.70.6 (which solves the large file transfer issue) and if there is not, which is the latest one?

    thank you
