I have a WRT54GS v1.1 (CGN2...) and the official firmware v3.37.2 (I bought it in france on month ago)
I can only set 10 rules for forwarding ports !
I have a LAN in 2 weeks, and we want to play on the internet through the router, and my 10 rules are already used !
    So I want more rules...
Can I do it with my actual firmware (the linksys official) ?
Or does I need a modified, and witch can be used without problem ?

I Have also some troubles with the wifi mode when I get files from another computer pluged with a RJ-45 cable to my wifi laptop. It disconnect randomly, and whatever the quantity of data transfered and the direction (in or out)...

PS : sorry for my english, it is not as good as i want ^^

    With the wifi random disconnect:
    try changing the channel
try moving the router to different places like away from monitors, TV's, cordless phones, and other things that would interfere with the router
My WRT54G 1.1 works great now when i changed the location(away from the computer and cordless phone).
I have not had this problem but try these solutions so, it might help.

About more forwarding ports i remember HyperWRT frirmware has more rows to open ports. Someone else will have to comfirm that. Flashing the router can be a little risky
To avoid flashing the router you can use the DMZ host if you had one computer all the time running the games. However, this opens all the ports to that ip address or server.

Note: if LAN does not use the internet you don't need to open any ports or DNZ the Server. if true don't open any ports.

If you are willing to flash your firmware to a non-Linksys one you should be able to add as many as you wan't. Just use the code below and replace the corrisponding ports and ip addresses.
You will need to telnet into the router to do this. Once complete run nvram commit to have it saved. Just keep it in mind that you will not see everything in the interface. Perhaps you should look at fwbuilder as it will do it for you if you have a sveasoft flavour installed.

    iptables -I FORWARD -p tcp --dport 80 -d -j ACCEPT
    iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -i vlan1 -p tcp --destination-port 80 -j DNAT --to-destination

Thanks, I'll try the solution ti put the router far from monitor and wireless phone...

And for the firmware... HyperWRT ? do you think I will have all forward possible ?

IS it not too difficult to use it ? Because I am not very good to user the command line...
Maybe if it is very good documentation...

Also, try to keep away from large masonry structures or structures that could absorb radio waves
