What 3rd Party Firmware can I use on my wrt54gs v3
DD-WRT should work. Also I believe the new HyperWRT based on 4.70.6 (mentioned on the front page here) should work as well although I can't swear to that right now.
not do fast. its not tested. i can't get a testunit here
Hello dispense my English but I come from Argentina and I do not speak it ( neither I write it ) very well.
Want knowing if exists some firmware for wrt54gs V3 ( or if it cans with the original firmware ) that it permit to connect me with another wrt54gs V3 in order to lace two nets and to share internet.
The scheme would be like this
router--> switch (with lan1) --> wrt54gs v3 ))))))) wireless((((((((( wrt54gs v3 ----> lan 2
I read on somewhat so-called WDS but I am not sure .
From now on thanks and know dispensing my horrific English.
You can do it with the original firmware.
you have to make a bridge between your two Wireless AP. It's very simple.
dd-wrt v23 will support v4 g and v3 gs before final release. currently i'm searching for the testunits
Ok, thanks cycberseb0, now I am going to look for the mode to do it ( for googl....) ; )
I had a talk with Linksys's representative he told me that there is no form to do a bridge among wrt54gs. Then like do I do it?
The linksys representative is right and wrong. You can't do it with stock firmware but with alternative firmware like dd-wrt it is possible.
I'll do that later and I was told it is possible, someone already done that before:
Ok but. it possible to place the ddwrt on a wrt54gsV3?
Else it cans ... You know some other firmware's type for that router (v3) that he make wds.
