hi this is my first time here. here is my problem. i have had this router for 2 years with no problem at all. recently i wanted to update the firmware b/c the menu at the router screen was not showing up for some reason. you could still see the number feilds but you could go to the different section in the menu. so i updated the firmware followed the instructions on the web site and now my router won't connect to the internet. i keep getting a DNS error.

if you can, go to the previous firmware, but first do a hard reset then wait the router to restart, then proseed, no wifi, only wired. i am on 7.50.5

I alo own a WRT54GS v7.0 which I've owned for over 5 years. I updated the firmware and since then I've been getting random disconnects. Dunno what's up. Where can I find older firmwares? Plz!

Do a hard reset with the back little hole button and wait till the router restart itself, if continues to dsconnect, upload again the same the 7.50.5 firm, did you get it from Linsys? it is a good one, i never had no any disconnect.

Your desconections are over wifi, wired or both? Are there to many clients fighting for your bandwide or to many wifi network close by? Microwave oven and other appliances make a lot of interference against wifi.
Unfortunately I don't have an older firmware, 7.50.5 is a good one I have no one desconection at all, do a hard reset, reconfigure by hand no restoring data, check all wired connections. Did you check with your ISP, sometimes the service is not that good and cables to your home are old or wet.
