Hi guys, I am new here and new to the whole uploading 3rd party firmware. I recently uploaded dd-wrt.v23_micro_generic.bin firmware to my v6 router. I followed a process that was linked from the dd-wrt wikipedia site. Everything works fine as far as i can tell. My issue is this: I cant get a WAN IP from my ISP. I have Charter high speed internet in my area. What could be the issue? I haven't changed any of the settings in the router except for setting up WEP.

I'm only guessing, but did your WAN MAC Address change?

If so, you may need to phone your ISP to get the new MAC address registered.

I am not sure thats the issue though. I had an older linksys router before. Switched to a dlink and internet connection worked. I then switched from my dlink to a newer linksys with dd-wrt installed and now WAN doesnt work. I have to imagine there is some setting in the router that is keeping me from getting an IP address from my ISP.
