Hi all, could anyone advise me of the settings to use to set up my AM200 modem with WRT54GS? With the modem connected straight to laptop and settings below the internet works fine:-

    PPPoA
    0 VPI
    38 VCI
    Multiplexing VC
    DSL Modulation G.DMT
    username and pass obviously

These are the settings given by the isp (Tiscali) and everything works fine, but when i try to use the modem with WRT54GS i don't know what settings to use and can't get it to work.

I put it in bridging mode, but i also tried to change the modem ip address to 192.168.1.2, and tried disabling dhcp on modem, because i wanted to use the router as 192.168.1.1 and use the routers dhcp to pass ip's to my pc's. But i know i've not got it right.

Basically i would like my laptop, desktop pc, and xbox360 to all get their ip's via dhcp but didn't know which way round to do it, or how to get internet working with WRT54GS. I'm little confused, lol. Many thanks in advance for any help.

From your information you need to do PPPoA to work. The WRT54G/gs only do PPPoE. Different protocols. So unless someone else knows a trick that I do not know, the wrt54gs will not support your connection .
There isn't a PPPoE selection in the connection settings.
