WRT54GSv4 strange sudden issues

    Hi there.

I've been using my Linksys WRT54GSv4 for quite a while now, and I finally lost patience with it (yet again).
I'm now running the DD-WRT v23 SP1 Final (05/16/06) firmware, and it was as of yet the best solution.

I've been very precise on my setup, and it's setup identically as it was before the last reboot (reset), and now I can't connect with wireless because it says "The network is no longer in range". My question nr. 1, why does it suddenly say that, and not before? It all happens when I try to connect to it with my laptop running WinXP, and just after I press Connect, it says "Detecting type of network" and then the error message.
Any ideas on what can cause the problem? Connecting through wired setup (Port 1) works OK tho'.

My ISP requires PPPoE connection, and when I stream video from the net and max out my connection (1.5mbit) I get random disconnects and AWFUL slowdowns of the entire network.
I'm starting to regret this purchase, as I'm sure it ain't my ISP that's causing the slowdowns, but the router.
If anyone has ANY tip to give, I'd love to hear about it seeing as this is driving my mad.

    Thanks in advance.
