The weird part about this is that it's only the internet, i.e. the wireless connection does not drop. I'm still connected to my LAN and other puters, but the internet seems to drop only on the wireless for a few seconds every couple of minutes or so.

I've tried some different QOS settings (having the laptop at Highest and everything else at lowest) and it doesn't seem to make any difference.

    I'm currently using Tofu 6.2.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

(Sorry for the crosspost, figured this is a better spot for this message)

    Follow up information...

Everything was working just fine until I bought and installed a Maxtor Shared Storage drive. It's a network drive that I've assigned a static IP in the lower range.

In order to try to eliminate that as the cause, I've put a filter to allow only internet traffic to IP addy's above x.x.x.50. The drive is attached as x.x.x.5. I'm going to try to turn it off altogether and see if that gets rid of my wlan internet drops.

So summary of network and problem:

    NAS is x.x.x.5
    PC is x.x.x.50
    Laptop is x.x.x.51 (wireless)

Laptop loses internet connectivity, but never loses wifi signal or connection to NAS and PC. PC never loses internet connectivity. Laptop loses internet even when PC is powered off, so it's not a capacity issue.

Does this make any sense to anyone out there at all?
