    Anyone else have this problem?

Running DSL-302G D-Link modem in NAT mode.

WRT54G is obtaining IP address 10.1.1.X from modem and shows correct subnet 255.0.0.0 and default gateway 10.1.1.1.

Pinging 10.1.1.X on WRT54G side works.

    But no internet connectivity.

Plug modem back into D-Link router and all is fine.

    What gives?

this happens when i reflash my router. i fix it by power-cycling the modem. you might also need to clone the mac address of the dlink router if your isp checks that.

Hi whatsthedeal and thanks but nope, tried all of that.

The WRT54G is acting as the client at the WAN interface and receiving the IP address allocated by the DSL-302g just fine. There is just no data getting through.

erm, are you sure you set it up with the right WAN settings ?
PPTP etc are all wrong here.

I guess that you need static routes, or whatever mumbo-jumbo the Dlink router has set up.

Im using freeman basi 1.04 on a V2 WRT54G over a speedtouch w/ PPTP for months w/o problems....
