I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem where a WRT54GX is failing to respond to a DHCP DHCPDISCOVER message if QoS is enabled, but it does respond if QoS is not enabled. The DHCP client making the request is providing a minimal set of DHCP options, and I am wondering if that could be the problem. In particular, the client is only providing: Option 53 DHCP Message Type=DHCP Discover Option 61 Client Identifier, Hardware Type Ethernet Option 55 Parameter Request List (1=Subnet, 3=Router,6=Domain Name Server,51=IP Address Lease Time, 15=Domain Name) The client does not provide Option 116, DHCP Auto-Config; I understand according to RFC 2563 that failure to provide this option will result in the server not responding. However, I do not know if the WRT54GX implements RFC 2563, and if so, why it seems to selectively do so, only when QoS is enabled. Anyone seen anything like this, or know what is supposed to be happening in this case?
