My WRT54GX-v2 System up time has recently started displaying an odd "system up time" --

    2400 days, x hours, etc.

Yesterday, I rebooted and it seemed like it went back to normal but this morning it's back to the odd display.

Linksys support says I need to reset and reflash the firmware.

Have any of you seen this and have a solution? (Other than flashing the firmware)

i've never encountered this error...has it ever shown the correct times or has it always shown this 2400 days... pretty impressive if you've had the GXv2 running for over 6 years... way to go ;)

it's most likely to be a ntp issue, it's an irritating but non-critical error.

Same thing happens to my wrt54gx v2 on Firmware Version: 2.00.15. Just pull out the power adaptor from the unit and wait some 3-5 minutes. That'll fix the issue =)

does that mean its fixable, or just a bug you need to deal with until the next firmware release

I've had it happen more than once (even after power reboot).

The date and time are fine -- usually. I wasn't sure if it was a sign that something else was wrong in the router or not.

    Thanks for all the replies.

it usually happens when the clock is set to 1/1/1970 at boot up, uptime is supposed to take this into account when ntp syncs, but it seems like maybe it isn't always doing it. like i said before; irritating but not functionally critical to the operation. nothing (that i know of) uses uptime as a reference value.
