WRT54GX ver.2 - power blinking after (wrong) firmware update

    Hi,

My WRT54GX ver.2 router stopped working after it was updated with firmware from another device (stupid, I know).

Power-led is blinking. Router can detect when a network cable is plugged in (the led lights up). Router cannot be pinged (192.168.1.1). I tried to hard reset it (holding down reset for > 30 sec) and tftp upgrade the firmware with no luck.

Any ideas? Anyone know if it can be debricked?

holding the reset button for the wrt54gx v2 for 30 is not enough, I guess.
I was informed (from linksys support center, because I had the same problem as you), if you want to hard reset, you need to press the reset button, hold for 60-80 sec. and every 10-15 sec, you need to unplug the adapter, wait for 5-10 minutes, the replug, but still hold the reset button.
