I picked up a WRT54GX2 at circuit city yesterday at a great price! How does it compare to the GX, some say that the GX2 is a watered down version. At first, the router couldn't go online..resetting it didn't work..finally had to plug the cable from modem to PC, download the newest firmware, apply it to fix the problem

I didn't really like the config page, it seems too simple.. not enough advanced options. The D-link DI- 614+ has more features  thought Linksys will add more features. There's not enough fields for fort forwarding  I think the older WRT54G models have more advanced settings than this. Please share your experiences with the GX2. :)

The WRT54GX2 uses two radios and two antennas, where the WRT54GX v1.0 and v2.0 has more range. The throughput on the WRT54GX will better at the logner ranges, but close up the throughput should be comparable. The WRT54GX2 was developed to compete at a lower price point.
