    I currently use Vonage with an RTP300 router and a newly bought WRT54GX2 as the AP connected through the LAN port. The network is setup as follows:

    Cable Modem --> RTP300 (GATEWAY/FIREWALL) --> WRT54GX2 (AP)

    I don't have any issues at this point in time but are there any firmware or any type of issues that I should be aware of for future reference? I aprreciate the comments and thanks in advance!

    Well, looks like I have an issue with putting the WRT54GX2 in front of the RTP300. Even if I enable UPnP or put the RTP300 IP in the DMZ, it still is a no go. With the phone connected, it says 'Line in Use', so I'm assuming it's not compatible with this firmware, I suppose. Does anyone have any suggestions, otherwise I think resorting to have the RTP300 in front instead.

    Thanks in advance!

    Unfortunately, the WRT54GXv2 abd WRT54GX2 are loaded with that many bugs that you just can not rely on them. I suggest you go with an older BEFSR11 or BEFSR41 router that has less firmware crap on it and works much more stable. I discovered VPN and other streaming errors (e.g. Skype has problems with the WRT54G... models) that Linksys admits to have firmware updates for the earliest in a month or so... (today Dec 3).
