Hey guys i need some help. I have 2 Wrt54gx4 srx400 routers. I want to hook them together, is it possible. I have a 8,000sq house and the signal at the far end from the router is only at 2 bars. I am going to run a 100ft ethernet cable from the 1st router up through the attic and down to the 2nd router. How do i configure the 2nd router so that i can just have one wirless signal, i dont want 2. Is it even possible to connect these 2 together?? PLEASE HELP!! Thanks

Plug the ethernet cable into one of the LAN ports on the 2nd router (the WAN port will not be used) and disable the DHCP server on the 2nd router. Set the SSID and all other security settings to be the same on both.

Your wireless client on your laptop will pick between the two depending on how aggressively the supplicant (wireless config software) switches between stronger signals. It's not true roaming, but without a wireless lan controller it's the best you'll get. When you move from one to the other there might be little hiccups in your net connection, but overall it should work fairly well.
