WRT54GXv2 WPA/TKIP WPA2/AES possible?

I have a situation. I have my WRT54GXv2 setup using WPA/WPA2 - AES and it is working perfectly with my laptops. However, I just bought a WM5 device but it apparently only supports WPA/TKIP. I am very hesitant on switching the encryption to TKIP only from AES. However, selecting AES/TKIP seems to have no effect (ie, WM5 will not connect). Seems the only way that WM5 will connect is WPA/TKIP on the router.

Is it possible to set the WRT54GXv2 to accept WPA2/AES and WPA/TKIP? What exactly does the setting AES+TKIP mean? I thought it was supposed to accept EITHER AES or TKIP on the connection but it is not the case. When set to AES+TKIP, WM5 does not connect, neither does the laptops when set to WPA2/TKIP.

    Please help!

I think you have to enable both WPA and WPA2 and select TKIP +AES. What I have found is connections with WPA and either AES or TKIP or WPA2 with AES or TKIP seem to work. Setting the router like this then changing the other devices accordingly gives the most options for connections. That will allow more flexable support for different type of connections. At least that is my experience with it.
