WRTbwlog question about traffic details

Looked through the tool but I can't see where it shows me who (IP or MAC address) downloaded how much.

Is there an option somewhere that breaks down the upload and download totals?

Or is this a tool that only tracks data at the router level?

Yes, currently you can track only the the total download and upload with wrtbwlog.

The WRT54G is able to send traffic data to traffic logging software, running on another computer, though. This way you can track the traffic by IP or by MAC (search for rflow, wallwatcher or linklogger here in the forums). The downside of this is, that you need a dedicated computer running 24/7 just for logging the traffic data of the WRT54G.

Of course I would like to add traffic logging by IP or MAC to wrtbwlog. The problem is, that this can't be done with just a few shell scripts and the tools already available on the WRT54G. This would require installing additional software like ntop on the WRT54G. Unfortunately ntop is huge and a cpu hog - at least compared to the weak cpu of the WRT54G and small amount of memory available. Probably much more than the WRT54G can handle.

Thanks you for the explaination and for offering me some options to look into.
