    Hi,

    WRTbwlog v1.1 is available.

    Changelog:
    - Added feature to create custom WRTbwlog archive with own configuration settings.
    - Changed 'restore backup on reboot' feature to support customized WRTbwlog versions.
    - Added the possiblity to run a custom script, when an unauthorized MAC or hostname joins the WLAN.
    - Added feature to download new themes/skins.
    - Added the default backup restore-paths /jffs/ and /usr/local/ (the r/w partitions of DD-WRT/Talisman).
    - Changed menu for better usability on SSH-tunneled connections.
    - The conversion factor Byte -> MB in the traffic display can now be customized.
    - Bugfix: IPs and hostnames should now be displayed correctly in the wlan log, when using Talisman.
    - Bugfix: Saving certain values on the configuration page didn't work before.

For a detailed description of the new features, please have a look at http://www.hetos.de/bwlog.html

I have also added a FAQ http://www.hetos.de/bwlog_faq.html with answers to some questions, that are regularly being asked by WRTbwlog users.

In this new version there are only two default themes included to reduce the size of WRTbwlog. But you can now install addtitional themes from. http://www.hetos.de/bwlog_addons.html

    Hi,

    your tool is really cool.
There are some minor problems to view in Opera Browser (ver 8.01). It can be used, but it looks not nice.

Thanks for this information. I will have a look at this issue. Currently I'm only testing with Firefox (and sometimes IE).

I got version 1.1 running now works great indeed. I had one powerfailure and it installed itself using your startup script!.
Only thing missing is in your download section => Custom scripts.
It is possible to execute custom scripts in case of a WLAN intruder. Unfortunatly i am not that good in programming. Are custom scripts wich are sent to you going to be posted in the add-on dowmload section in the future?

Might be a nice add-on next to themes.

Sure, custom scripts for the wlan logging or traffic sentry features can be sent to webmaster@hetos.de and I'll add them to the Addon page. Unfortunately currently I don't have the time to write some scripts for these features for myself.

Currently I'm quite busy with other, more important things (thesis, job, family...), so I currently don't have the time to work on WRTbwlog. Therefore it may take a few weeks until I can release a new version.

I totaly love this software, however mine isn't functioning properly (I hope this is the right place to post this).

I have a v3.2 with the latest Talisman. The first day of bandwith was recorded, but now any other day it just says 0 uplaoded and 0 downloaded (when clicking current speed it did tell me there was bandwith flowing).

Is there some reason why it decided to stop counting bandwith after the first day? And more importantly, how do I fix it?

    bwlog.sh / -mtime

    Hi,

thank you very much for this great tool.

I have a problem on OpenWrt (White Russian RC3). The find-option -mtime is not supported there.

In the file bwlog.sh the following is therefore not possible:
    find ./data/ -name "${INTERF}rx" -mtime -1

Can I remove this part or is it absolutely necessary for the operation of bwlog?

Got it running on HyperWRT 2.1b1 +tofu11. I Had the following problems:
    - busybox does not undertand $( ) syntax
    - find does not know about -mtime option
    - mini_httpd fails to run because of no notion of user (/etc/passwd missing I guess)
    - awk, once, looped and eated cpu

    So I cross-compiled:
    - Mini_httpd v1.19 with a small patch to run without /etc/passwd
    - dash v0.5.3
    - Haserl v0.9.4 (because it accepts a new option --shell; then I can select dash as default shell)
    - find v4.2.26
    - gawk v3.1.5
and modified a bit the shells and/or cgi's to be dash compatible.

    Pros: quite portable
    Cons: tarball much bigger

I putted temporarly the modified tarball at http://home.cern.ch/~jdurand/bwlog.tar.gz

    JD.

I observe that httpd dies sometimes, though. Don't know if it's correlated.
