My VOiP router limits my wireless bandwith to nothing over 3Mbps but when hardwired to a physical port on the router I get 10.5Mbps which is what I pay for. Linksys has sucked royally in the way of customer service. They don't offer me ANY support at all except to say that they can put me through to technical support for a $30.00 fee and TRY to solve my problem. Is there anyone that has had this trouble and found a solution other than hardwiring to the router??? Ps. I know I am not going to get the full 10.5Mbps through wireless but I just don't want to be limited to 3Mbps when I have more bandwith available.

How does it limit your wireless bandwidth? Is the connection rate given at this speed or do you just suffer from interferences and your measured speed cannot get over 3Mbps?

I would suggest to try different adapters, different channels (try 1,6 and 11) and maybe even a reflector on the router's antenna, pointing towards the PC.
(this one is really easy: http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template2/index.html )
