WRTSL54G : Can it Support USB Multi HardDisk SATA RAID Box

    Hello everyone,

Have ordered my WRTSL54GS which would be arriving in some days time. Till then I have started planning about my home network storage scheme and its availability on the wireless network. Although the latest original firmware on the www.linksys.com says that the "Write permissions" to the NTFS partitions has been solved. Has anybody tried it yet ?

I am looking for a good multiple hard disk enclosure which would support at least 4 E/SATA or IDE HardDisks . These enclosures are usually available in RAID configuration with external power supply and connected to the computer via standard USB 2.0 or Firewire interface.

I would go for the USB interface, since WRTSL54GS has a USB port. I plan to hook up the harddisk enclosure with two 160GB at present in RAID 0 level configuration to WRTSL54GS , hoping that harddisks would now act at attached wireless network storage for backups and media files.

My question is has anyone tried this sort of configuration successfully and what is the best third party firmware for this configuration.

    Your guidance would be appreciated.
