Can anyone help me. I have a external Hard drive with 4 primary partitions. Each partition has a differnet filesystem on it. They are FAT32, EXT2, EXT3, and ReiserFS. I have the drive hooked up to the WRTSL54GS router running Thibor HyperWRT 15b firmware. The FAT32 partition works with read and write access. Both the EXT2 and EXT3 only give me read access. The ReiserFS is not even viewable thorugh the GUI and when I telnet into the box I can see the partition with fdisk but it is not mounted. All of the linux partiitons were created with Paragon Hard Drive Partition program on a Windows XP box. My goal is to use a filesystem other than FAT due to it's limitiations. I only have access to a Windows XP box. I am not a Linux person but can run commands on the router if I needed to.

    Thanks

I had similar problems using paragon, use something else.

I have just used Acronis Disk Director which found errors on the partitions that I formated. After reformating I have all partitions visible in the GUI. I still do not have write ablility to any of the linux partitions (EXT2, EXT3, and ReiserFS). I have check the web interface and I even gave guest full RW access. I have made progess though since I can see the ReiserFS. If I hookup the drive to Windows XP and install Ext2 IFS for Windows I can write and read data to the EXT2 and EXT3 partitions. What am I doing wrong?

I remember reading somewhere about someone needing to do a "chmod 777" on something (the mount point?) to get rw access working, but the details escape me.

The fact that you are using multiple partitions may be a factor.
