WRV200 and port redirection

I've been looking through the WRV UI and I've done a little perusing through the forums and clearly the WRV200 does not support port redirection.

How do we go about pushing linksys to include this (very common) feature on the WRV200 in a future firmware release?

What, do you mean with "port redirection"? The port forwarding feature in the firewall section does the same thing as port redirection in other routers, I believe.

As far as I can see, there is no ability (for example) to redirect (WAN) to (LAN)

This is pretty common on other routers.

Indeed. It is possible to redirect a WAN port to the same LAN port of some LAN computer, only.

So, it is possible to redirect (WAN) only to (LAN)

The conclusion is: there is a port redirection available, but it is less functional than other router abilities.

So, we both were right, to a point.

Unfortunately, this is true (it doesn't work). I tried to open port 80 to my email server and it wouldn't except it on the WRV200 "but" it's supported on the WRV54G and the WRVS4400N (go figure).

I'm using WAN SIP ports redirection with my Linksys PAP2 adapter. And, it works.

But, there is a catch. If the LAN IP of the router is changed, the port redirection stops working. It is necesary to disable the redirection, then enable it back.
