WRV200 password does not work (intermittently)

I have been runningthe WRV200 for a week now and this is the second time that I cannot login to the router... it asks for username password and the real username password does not work, nor does admin/admin, etc.

If I hold down the reset button for 30 seconds it resets the box, keeps my settings and still does let me back in.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

You should do a power reset. I mean to remove the power cord for a moment.

I had a situation the router ignored the hardware reset button until I did a power reset.

The router WEB interface was unstable in earlier firmware versions. You should use a version from 1.0.33 to 1.0.37

    Thanks Sfor...
I will look to upgrade the firmware today.

If I do a power reset after the hardware rest, that will make me lose all my settings right? I have them backed up, but it's still a PITA.

Erm. A power reset does not erase the settings.

But, the hardware defaults reset (holding the reset button for 30 seconds) should set all the settings to factory default values. You should do such a reset after every firmware upgrade. It is also safer to do this kind of a reset before uploading a firmware, as well.
