I have the famous problem where, when trying to setup a vpn with quickvpn, the connection fails with the message "remote gateway not responding ..etc etc."

I have tried all the guides and tricks i found here, firewalls off, MS patches, MTU fidling, but nothing seems to help.

Before I click away the error message i can see the icon has turned green, and the remote DNSshows up in the ipconfig info on the client PC. However when i try to ping or trace the remote nework, I get "negotiating security" as response

The firmware is version 2.38.7, the Quickvpn version is 1.0.0.30 (directly from the linksys website)

I have talked to several of the support guys, but they are useless im sorry to say, one of them even said that the wrv54g wasnt supposed to be used with quickvpn

Below is the log i took from the router as the client was trying to connect, up to the point where it came up with the error. If anyone has anymore tricks please let me know.

    Thanks
    Hans

EDIT: I heard an older version of the quickvpn client sometimes works to resolve the problem. Does anyone know where to find it? pweettyyy pweessseeee

Right, so how do they account for it being on the download page for the WRV54G :knock:
