I am trying to get smoothwall express 2.0 and wrv54g to setup a VPN tunnel between the two.
Has anyone tried this or had any luck with it?
    thanks

Is your smoothwall running behind another router? If it is, then you've hit the dreaded "NAT-T" issue (this router is a mental case :) ).

NAT-T is not supported by the WRV54G when a vpn client is utilized from behind another router. The only way you "might" get your smoothwall to work is if you made a direct connection from your computer, to your modem, and then to the internet. Other than that, don't bet on connecting. The only vpn client that will work from behind a router to your wrv54g is the linksys quickvpn client, and yes, Linksys set it up that way in order to push the quickvpn utility.
