WRV54G: Firmware differences (chinese vs. us release)

Has anyone noticed a difference between the Chinese and American versions of the 2.39.2 firmware? They're both the same filesize (5.9MB approx), but as I was reading the changelog on the US version, it says

    Issues fixed:
    - Modify warning message when the firewall disabled. Now the warning message informs users that Remote Management will be enabled if firewall is disabled. The Remote Management configuration option under Administration->Management is grayed out as a consequence.

I'm running the 2.39.2 from the China ftp site, the firmware has an issue that makes it so remote management stays enabled even when I have the firewall on and remote access set to off. When doing an nmap portscan, I see both HTTP(80) and HTTPS(443) open. I can also reach my router's login page outside of my own home network through my IP/dyndns. Any ideas? The release notes are identical to eachother, but I can't turn remote management off (even when it is marked 'disabled')

Have you tried resetting the router back to factory defaults then re-entering all your settings?

Yep, did a factory reset, manually put in all of my previous settings.

I'm running the Chinese 2.39.2 firmware and don't appear to have that problem :???:
