is 2.38 still the latest of has anyone found anything newer?
I haven't heard of a newer version, seems development has come to a halt Maybe they think all the bugs are fixed
yeah I dunno, I've found a router from cisco that offers all the same stuff albeit a little bit more money. Cisco 851W Router.
However my wrv54gs on the 2.38 firmware work well.....
I'm surprised they don't have this firmware on the official website though.
2.38 has a logging issue
I took firmware version 2.38 for a quick test tonight as they made a small format change which breaks Link Logger, however I also found some other issues with the 2.38 firmware so I wouldn't be in to much of a rush to release it if I was Linksys. You will note in the logs a lot of inbound UDP port 3006 traffic which appears to be bogus as we don't see that traffic if we use other firewalls and if we forward that traffic through to a sniffer there isn't anything there, hence this appears to be a large logging issue which would typically indicate a possible problem further inside the firmware.
Once they release an offical version of the 2.38/2.39 firmware then we will make the change to enable Link Logger to work with both the new and old firmware versions.
