WRV54G won't connect to modem

I have a Linksys WRV54G with firmware 2.39.2e and a Speedstream 5200 modem using an Alltel (Windstream) ADSL connection. The WRV54G will not connect to the Internet when I put the Speedstream in Bridge mode. Windstream was not able to help. To connect with the Speedstream I have to set the VPI to 0 and the VCI to 35. I don't see a way to set these with the WRV54G. Does anyone know what VPI and VCI the WRV54G uses? This is the only thing left that I can think of that would make it not work.

If you put the speedstream in bridge mode, you'll need to set the WRV54G to "PPPoE." When the speedstream is in brige mode, it's now just acting as a plain "dumb modem." Something needs to be intelligent enough to translate the packets, therefore, setting the WRV to PPPoe takes care of this. Make sure you use the same username/password combination you normally use on the modem with the WRV and that should get you going.

That is what I do. The WRV will not get a connection to the Internet.

Do you have an earlier version of the firmware you can try this with? I was able to do this with my WRV54G while living in London, UK, but the service I had was PPPoA...

I have tried it with every firmware. I thought upgrading would fix the problem. I've had it since it came out and it has never connected.
