Ok, what would cause my WRVS4000n to block my cisco client from connecting?

VPN passthrough is enabled. My Microsoft VPN connections work.

    I'm on firmware .16

Try disabling the IPS stuff. I found that a recent update of that (a month or so back) intermittently killed my Cisco VPN client.

do you have a firewall enabled on the lan ports?
on your cisco client make sure you check and see what tcp / udp port you are using and allow that inbound on your lan interface. you can verify this by click on status>statistics and see what port your are using for transport
