I think I've finally gotten my router setup running well after a little trial and error. My VPN works with the Quick VPN and I'm able to get to what I need while I'm away from home. The question I have has to do with the IPS system vs. an ACL rule. I've had 1000+ instances of DOS attacks on my router in the past week and I was wondering if there is any advantage to using an ACL rule versus letting the IPS do its thing?? Here's the list of my top 5 attackers: No IP Address Frequency 1 126.96.36.199 417 2 188.8.131.52 210 3 184.108.40.206 52 4 220.127.116.11 48 5 18.104.22.168 32 Most of these appear to be from China, So I don't care about blocking any of them.
