    Hello,

after trying out alot, i stumbled over this nice forum
and i now hope that anyone of you could help me perhaps.

I have the WVC54G ver.1.1 network camera with firmware
2.11 and 2.12 tested. It works fine (tried without encryption so far
to minimize problems) on LAN and AdHoc wifi mode, but when i switch to infrastructure mode, its no longer shown on the available wifi devices list on my noteboook (which sits next to it ;-) ).

My two wifi routers on the other hand are shown...as is the linksys
but in adhoc mode only. I am using the preset IP 192.168.1.115
    for it.

Any ideas on that floating around ?

    Regards,
    Adhemar

There is nothing wrong with your camera.

In adhock mode, all wireless devices are both client and server, so everything "sees" everything else.

In infrastructure mode, a device is either a client or a server. Clients can see all servers (as long as SSID is not hidden), but not other clients.

In order to use your camera in infrastructure mode, here is what needs to happen (I won't get into details unless you need them):

    1. In adhock or wired mode, configure your camera to obtain a wireless connection from your router. This means that once you hit SAVE, you will no longer be in adhock mode. Don't select DHCP unless you know how to figure out what IP address will be asigned. Instead, give the camera an IP address outside the DHCP range of your router (usually 100-199 are reserved for DHCP).

    2. Connect to your router from the PC.
    3. Type the IP address of your camera from Internet Explorer.
    4. You're done.
