Xbox 360 and WAP11

I need some help here. Ok, I have a brand new Xbox 360 I want to connect to my wireless router, which is a Netgear MR814v2. I have the settings on that router setup with a WEP key, and everything, including my PSP, can connect with no problem.

To save money, I decided to buy the WAP11 from Linksys, thinking that I could just connect the ethernet cable from the WAP11 to the Xbox 360, and have the WAP11 hook into my network. The WAP11 can read the network from what I can tell on the LED status lights, and it's setup just like my wireless router needs it to be, but the Xbox 360 cannot retrieve and IP address. I've tried both static and dynamic.

Any ideas? I need help before I decide to return the WAP11.

First up, from what i've seen, a WAP11 can work as a repeater/bridge etc only with another WAP11 (with some exceptions like WRT54G, WRT55AG etc). That's what they in the WAP11 setup page. So, the netgear thing may not work with the WAP11 even if all the settings are right.

U can try with bridge mode and also with AP client mode options in the WAP11. There may be third-party firmware (am not sure, TBH).. but since its a new WAP11, better return it and check with netgear for repeater/bridge products compatible with it.
