Xbox 360 WiFi Adapter + WRT54GS v1.1

No matter what I try, I cannot get the router to assign an IP address to the wireless adapter for Xbox 360. Are these two incompatible? Is there a fix or a third party firmware available? It might be time to buy a new router though...v1.1 is quite old now.

WPA security is enabled, as is DHCP. I can connect to my neighbour's network with no problems at all (don't tell them ) but they're not running any security, nor are they using a Linksys router.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

As a test trying using WEP, I am having the same issue with a WRT54G w/ thibor 15c and a WRTSL54GS w/ thibor 16b both running WPA, when I change the 54G to WEP it worked, but the 360 won't connect to the GS wired, WEP, or no security.
