I have NSL2 which I upgraded to version 63. It also had two drives attached both ext3 format. I disconnected one of the drives removed the ext3 and formatted fat. (7tools) I left the other drive alone. both drives are maxtor 250. All worked before the upgrade

With the drives attached the admin password will not work. If I unplug both drives the password works fine. I have changed the password to see if that would matter. No dice. I reset the brick several times changed the ip etc. Tried one driver at a time. Move the drives from # 1 to # 2 still no dice.

The drives function fine. I can copy and move, deleted files etc just the admin function won't locg on. I even tried erase all and no joy.

I created a XP account with the same password and ID still not working.

    Please help

So the ID/password you set is not working when the drives are plugged in? Have you tried admin/admin at those times?

When you reset, was that the with reset button on the back or the "Restore Default Config" button on the System page?

I'm starting to think that after a firmware upgrade, that the "Restore Default Config" should be used automatically. If it isn't, your back up jobs will probably be locked to those you had set before the upgrade and no additional ones can ever be added. Also if you use the "Restore Default Config", you can't restore your settings using "Config Backup". You have to re-build them from scratch so print out copies of the various settings pages before doing "Restore Default Config" if your configuration settings are unusually complicated.
