Hi All i have this wierd issue..

I just tried a couple of time to flash my Linksys Cisco EA 6700 and everything was perfect..
When it was done i cleared the NVRam and router rebooted. Everything was perfect. I started configure my router WIFI and works perfect.. After a reboot the 2.4GHz WiFi disapears and the 5GHz is more limited in the settings. Plus it reset the WIFI config back to standard.

I searched and search and found this guide: https://blog.adriel.co.nz/2017/09/05/advancedtomato-on-the-linksys-ea6700/amp/ and i tried with Fresh Tomato and Advanced Tomato with same result.. :(

After i have tried these things i tried to reflash again, claer NVRam and when it got back then i rebooted the router again and allready there the WIFI disapears.

Are someone farmiliur with this issue, when i see on google this is a known issue from advanced tomato.

Update: i tested with DD-WRT Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (02/19/14) std and it works perfectly. :)

I had a AC66U whose 2.4Ghz disappeared from the GUI after a NVRAM erase. Strangely enough by pressing its reset button on the back the 2.4Ghz appeared again.

I know people will say that pressing the reset button has the same effect of NVRAM erase, that is the reason for "Strangely enough"

I have tried to nvram reset and after that it appears again perfectally. But after a reboot the 2.4 ghz is gone and the wifi can not be found..
I took a printscreen on this here

I noticed a problem with Model as it shouldn't display board data, have you tried an earlier version as well?

Nope the one i have tried right now is this version : freshtomato-EA6700-ARM-2019.2-AIO-64K
i will now try to flash it with this: freshtomato-EA6700-ARM-2019.1-AIO-64K and then test again.

    upload_2019-6-5_0-45-41.png

Which is perfect then i do a normal reboot and then it looks like this:

EDITED: Deleted, I realized that it didn't work, this would be difficult to troubleshoot without having this model to duplicate what it is that is going on here you stated installing ddwrt the unit is working both radios are working, but using 2019.1 or 2019.2 after rebooting the 2.4 disappears, hopefully someone with another linksys ea model can tell us here if they are experiencing the same or similar issues with 2019.1 or .2?

Edited: can you execute this in cli ssh or telnet or use the tools "system command" "wl -i eth1 status" this will show if the radio is on, driver loaded. maybe something else going on here, regards

It gave me this output from system commands.
    upload_2019-6-5_8-58-23.png

I did also tested this version: tomato-EA6700-ARM--2017.1-kille72--AIO-64K with the exact same result.

Something definitely isn't working here, but since I don't have this model I can't say for sure as I see in this image how the channel being 34 on the 2.4, could you repeat the cli again but using the eth2, "wl -i eth2 status" without quotes of course. Did you follow the monoton guide in the linksysinfo.org or using the guide in dd-wrt as far as using editing the cfe are you sure you properly place the mac addresses for 2.4/5 GHz to their proper radios? I'm just trying to diagnose if this the case here as i'm sure no one has done a thread on this subject for this model, but I'm sure you done that procedure with the xvortex cfe properly as well, just checking regards.

Edited: If you notice the images of 2.4 mac address is on the 2.4 then after you reboot it's on the 5 GHz.

Well this is up to you if you'd like to do that type of setup, I cannot tell you if this is the firmware bug or xvortex miss identified 1:mac or 0:mac, boardnum problem or you may have it correct as you stated that it shows you both radios but can you confirm if mac addresses appear correctly to their corresponding 2.4/5GHz mac's and function properly on ddwrt as ap or gateway router? As for Freshtomato it would be nice if someone that has this model that could be nice enough to assist in diagnosing if there is a problem with the image's on the Linksys EA6700 IMOO, regards

On the "Welcome to the Broadcom" It's suppose to show the model, did you clear the nvram? clear cache/refresh browser in anyway in case you didn't mention it.

Was just making sure. Sorry I cannot help you figure this out but without this model to reproduce this detection problem it makes it extremely difficult for anyone to assess this, regards.

I've seen the same issue two time with my EA6700 but I use AdvancedTomato build tomato-EA6700-AT-ARM-3.5-140-AIO-64K.

I have the same problem with my r6250, I install fresh tomato or advance tomato all good and normal the problem is that when switching off and on again the wifi network does not appear and in some cases it appears but very weak with a link speed of 1mbs.
I do not know what to do if I install ddwrt all right, but when I go to tomato the wifi disappears.
I have returned to the original firmware and then installed and the same problem appears.

your post helps to narrowing it down a bit more, were the version on 2019.1/2019.2? or go back a bit further?

This post is concerning the Linksys EA6700, although your model is supported but you are describing not the same issue, however does Freshtomato identify your model correctly? Did you clear nvram after going from or coming from dd-wrt and did you go from dd-wrt back to ofw, clear nvram or reset to defaults in ofw then use Freshtomato's r6250initial image to flash, then flash either VPN or AIO, with a clear nvram again? I have this model as well as few supported Netgear models except the R7000 but I have no issue or a disappearing 2.4 radio unless I manually disable it.

[/ QUOTE]
I install fresh tomato well, and I delete the wifi 2.4ghz and 5ghz work well, the problem is when I turn off and turn on the router the wifi does not appear, no device detects it and if they detect it is extremely weak, in the freshtomato panel appears visible and optimal network.
I have tried advance tomato, Tomato by Shibby and freshtomato with its corresponding init start file and present the same problem.
probe dd-wrt and then the wifi 2.4ghz and 5ghz work well.
Does this happen? Is it because of the chipset drivers?

Channel 9 is what you are using? Have you used channels 1,6,11 on channel-width 20 as well with the same results? Have done some modifying in the Advanced > wireless as well and could you if you don't mind posting a png image on those settings as well. When you installed initially from ddwrt, what were the steps that you done? regards

I was testing the firmware of tomato, I look for certain functions and also probe ddwrt, ddwrt install it after tomato, in a normal way I did update with the ddwrt file everything went well, but I decided to keep tomato, from ddwrt I returned to the original firmware of netgear R6250. with the file R6250-back-to-ofw of tomato.
from this point I reinstalled freshtomato with the file freshtomato-R6250-2019.2-initial-64K everything well I did the deletion nvram and I install freshtomato-R6250-ARM-2019.2-AIO-64K I configure everything but it is turning the router and the wifi on and off 2.4 ghz and 5ghz no longer appears but in the control panel are active.
and if intalo ddwrt or return to the original firmware all normal functions will be a tomato firmware problem.

Your response to flashing between projects is the right way in order to rule out code issues carrying over to either project builds, however I cannot say that this is a freshtomato problem as for me I have used a r6250 myself as for using it on 2019.1 to 2019.2 for 2.4/5GHz radios on any of my devices, as I do understand that you haven't mentioned that you are using either channels 1,6,11 security encryption wpa2 on the 2.4 radio as your images supplied shows this configuration, but that wouldn't rule out why it disappears either. If you have freshtomato installed still use one or the other channels mentioned with only on encryption selected for the purpose of troubleshooting on the 20 channel-width and once done, see if you notice any improvement, you can also click the Noise Floor (eth1) measure and see if that will help also.

Another question have you done any settings changes in Advanced > wireless?
