    Apologies if this is redundant but I've read about 2 dozen threads by now on several sites and am still confused.

    I want to hook up my (wired 4port) BEFSR41 to my (wireless 4 port) BEFW11S4.

    Here's the setup I think I need and have tried:

    BEFW11S4 port 1-->computer1
    BEFW11S4 port 2-->computer2
    BEFW11S4 port 3-->BEFSR41 Uplink port (straight cable)

    BEFSR41 port 1-->computer3
    BEFSR41 port 2-->computer4
    BEFSR41 port 3-->xbox

    And here are some questions:
    1) Is this correct physically?
    2) Do I have to turn off DHCP in the BEFSR41?
    2a) If I do, do I have to have static IP addresses in computer 3, 4, and the xbox?
    2b) If I do, do I set their gateway as and the subnet mask as (the BEFW11S4 is set up pretty much default except I set up PPOE in it)?
    2c) If I do, do I have to set the DNS Servers?
    3) Do I give the router its own IP address?
    3a) If I do, should it be in or out of the BEFW11S4's range?
    4) Do I set up anything else such as the WAN address in the BEFSR41?

    Anyways, you can see I'm thoroughly confused. I was hoping this would be more plug and play and that drilling and feeding cable would be the hard part : ) I was at it for several hours last night and got all mixed up so now I'm hoping for anyone's help.

    Thank you!!

    I'm not trying to be "smart" here but you are over complicating everything with your choice of hardware. Both of your devices are routers and there is no need for them in your situation.

    Please disconnect the BEFSR41 and replace it with a EFAH08W.

    And it will work great with your current settings on the BEFW11S4.
