Reports are surfacing that the 802.11n is being delayed to 2008, with a second draft is not likely until Jan 2007. MIMO interoperability remains a major talking point.

well it is to be expected really. when i was a young pup many moons ago, and I beta tested for USR and Supra, the talk then was on the 28k8/33k6 speeds. Then K56Flex/X2/v90/v92 all had there interoperability between each other. This took years to sort it out. No doubt this wireless mess will do the same. I hope however Manufacturers will allow Upgrades to the 11n final will be just a firmware upgrade for some compatabile wireless routers, but then again thats probably asking too much of the vendors.
