Hey guys, I just ran myself a Cat5 cable and jack to an ideal spot inside my house for an AP.....however, and AC outlet isn't that close to the Ethernet jack. I know I can use a WAP54G with a POE adapter, but I just had a few questions.

1)Linksys makes a 12V and a 5V version of their POE adapter, which do I need to purchase to work with a WAP54G

2)Do I need to use the splitter and Injector with the WAP54G or just the Injector?

Thanks a bunch for the information.

    The WAP54G needs a 12 volt injector.

First version of WAP54G (with 7 leds) uses 5 Volts.
Newer versions (v2+ , with 3 leds) use 12 Volts.
