since i left the "original" 4.12eu my adsl2mue (+wrt54gs with dd-wrt) goes crazy
at the moment is impossible to connect to internet after 24 hours (since yesterday 10 minutes up is a record.... ), and i must switch off/on for reconnect EVERYTIME
isnt' the line/provider: no prob with another router

i have tryed all the avaible firm on the net (2.17/4.19/4.22), but the problem still exist, and, like all know, the 4.12 doesn't exist for the customer support ........................................
so: for sure exist an adsl2mue hw clone.. someone know it for try some other firmware????
or better to send back to linksys this one?

    thx in advance

    and so.. :sadbye:
after some other try without success i have flashed the adsl2mue with the 4.22eu (with the "one file" img file):
this firmware is the same than the 2 files version but isn't backward compatible (give a mtd error)

at the moment adsl2mue loose connection every 5/10 minutes, and must be turned off/on for reconnect, with another modem no prob at all
    asl2mue: s**t hw or fw?

tomorrow i send back this to the reseller

erm you used the single firmware after i posted the upgrade proceedures?

    1) Procedure to upgrade from 4.12 to 4.22

In order to upgrade the ADSL2MUE running firmware 4.12 to firmware 4.22 you need 2 files:
    - LKS.zimage.ar7rd.upgrade.360c.bin
    - LKS.annexA.upgrade.422.xx.img (where xx is the country/language code)

First upload the `LKS.zimage.ar7rd.upgrade.360c.bin` file using the normal firmware upgrade procedure on the web interface.
This will load a special firmware upgrade interface.
On this interface, select and upload the `LKS.annexA.upgrade.422.xx.img` file.

Do NOT use the `LKS.single.annexA.upgrade.422.xx.img` file to upgrade from 4.12 to a newer version. This will destroy the unit !

    ty toxic for the reply
obviously i have upgraded NOT from a 4.12
even if upgraded from the 4.19 the single file must NOT be used
using that one the firmware isn't backward compatible!, using the 2 files version is always possible put an old firm in the adl2mue!!

so: is there not a chance to solve this disconnection problem????
    :sadbye:

I have the exact same problem you described... and too bad for me, I just upgraded to the 4.22 version using the "single" image... so I guess there is no way to go back now!

no luck with any of the versions out there

    no prob patego...
even using the 2 files (ok.. so the router can be reflashed with older firmware..) and return back to an old one the disconnection rate still the one with the 4.22... (if we can talk about a disconnection rate: 10/20 sec of connection isn't a connection!

    so nothing change

I've just had the same prob with mine, only able to hold a connection for about 10 minutes, modem then has to be power cycled to regain connection.

The solution to the problem is a better power supply, the supplied weedy 1a one isn't enough. I've hotwired mine to the 5v supply of the pc and all is good.
