    Hi NAS200 Users,

I have compiled a new version of Busybox (v1.16.1) for NAS200 running jac4 or higher (lower versions of jac are not tested). With some credit to give away to jackito who inspired me to compile with trustix.

It adds mostly bugfixes and more functionality (Like ether-wake and dpkg) in comparision to the default busybox used in jac4.

    Currently defined functions:
[, [[, ar, arp, arping, ash, awk, basename, bunzip2, bzcat, bzip2, cat, catv, chgrp, chmod, chown, chroot, chvt, clear, cmp, cp, cut, dd, deallocvt, depmod, df, diff,
dirname, dmesg, dnsd, dnsdomainname, dos2unix, dpkg, dpkg-deb, du, echo, egrep, env, ether-wake, expr, false, fgrep, find, free, fuser, grep, gunzip, gzip, halt, head, hexdump, hostname, id, ifconfig, init, insmod, install, ipcalc, kill, killall, klogd, ln, logger, losetup, ls, lsmod, lzmacat, lzop, lzopcat, md5sum, mkdir, mknod, mkswap, mktemp, modprobe, more, mount, mv, netstat, nice, nmeter, nohup, nslookup, openvt, pgrep, pidof, ping, pivot_root, pkill, poweroff, printenv, printf, ps, pscan, pwd, readlink, reboot, renice, reset, rm, rmdir, rmmod, route, rpm, sed, seq, sh, sleep, sort, split, stat, swapoff, swapon, sync, sysctl, syslogd, tail, tar, tee, telnet, telnetd, test, tftp, tftpd, top, touch, tr, traceroute, true, tty, umount, uname, uncompress, uniq, unix2dos, unlzma, unlzop, unzip, uptime, usleep, vi, watch, wc, wget, which, who, whoami, xargs, yes, zcat

    And but not least :

    - ls with color!
    - ether-wake (Wake on lan support)
    - shell with fancy prompt like /harddisk/volume_3/data#
    - Bugfixes from official release version 1.14.3 to 1.16.1 (which can be read here)

The files are split up due to upload limitations. To extract the zip file just remove the extra .zip so you get .001 .002 etc.. at the end of the file and extract it.

    Hope you enjoy it!

For problems you can take a look at the previous post :

Please don't use .zipx format, it is closed and mostly unsupported.

I uploaded a standard zip file here.

Other than that, THANKS for the build :)

I didn't realize that this is a closed source format but thanks for the info next time i will choose a open source format and an external source to upload a newer version of busybox.

How do I install this busybox compilation into my NAS200? I already have Jac4 firmware loaded, I want Wake-on-LAN support :)

Note, the hardware in the NAS200 is NOT capable of receiving a wake-on-lan packet to turn itself on when it's off.

I'm sure the wake-on-lan functionality that DJ Soulfly is advertising is the possibility to SEND a wake-on-lan packet on the network. This is still really useful because you can turn your other computers off and leave just the NAS on (it uses almost no power especially when the drives are spun down), and log in to the NAS from the Internet to switch your other computers on.

Is there any amino for an updated busybox version? If so let me know I will start a new threat with the announce?
