Anybody using dual wan?

One of my WRT54GL's has a fragged WAN port - I was thinking of trying to use it by changing one of the LAN ports to WAN.

Anybody using the Dual Wan option? I'm a little weary of the "made in china" solution for obvious reasons....

you don't need a dual wan firmware for that - you can simply reassign one of the lan ports to be the wan port - using nvram variables only.
for instance, doing this would put lan port 4 (from left to right) into the wan's vlan interface:
    nvram set vlan1ports="0 5"
    nvram set vlan0ports="3 2 1 5*"
    nvram commit
note that this will only work properly if you have a GL. if you have a wrt54g of some sort, you'll have to adapt the port numbering according to your switch's numbering scheme.

Sweet! You the man! I have to add these via SSL or the GUI under INIT scripts?

Thanks for the post. I was in the same predicament with a failed WAN port. This worked like a charm!
