I've got a BEFW11S4 connected to a cable modem, and DHCP serving internet to the house.

I have a WRT54G connected to a PC. I want to access the wireless network using the WRT54G.

How do i configure this second router to talk to the first one?

I'm about to pull my hair out!
What is the simplest way to do this?

You could setup the WRT54G with DD-WRT ( and put the router in client bridge mode. Make sure you assign it an IP on your subnet and point the gateway to your BEFW. Also be sure to turn off DHCP on the WRT

If you are using encryption, set the same key on the WRT. Also set the SSID to your BEFW's SSID

    Should work fine!!
