If I set the MTU to automatic (seems to be automaticaly 1500), the default settings of Windows XP are not working. I have to manually change the MTU on every PC. So everytime I have a visitor, I have to change his settings for him to browse correctly the web... Does anyone have any experience of this kind of strange behaviour ?
For now I set it manually at 1200 (AOL style) and I have a good result, but I still have to update everyone's computer...

I'm on Wanadoo France and never got any problem using other ADSL gateway.

    Enable firewall

Seems the AUTO MTU does not operate without Firewall enabled on older firmware versions.

Enable firewall and auto mtu works. (You may notice a preformance drop.)

Else move to a new firmware version which seems to resolve this problem. (1.00.47 works fine)

Thanks. I tried with TCP Optimzer but it gives strange results. Normal because if the router do not have a correct MTU, the tool is useless I think.

And for the upgrade, I have a Version 2 and I did not find a new firmware for this version so far.
