    Save History Location

What is the difference between JFFS2 and NVRam Saving? And will it saves data in the RAM and only save to nvram or JFFS2 according the Save Frequency Settings. Also will it saves when a reboot request is made to the router ?

Saves on RAM will not suvive a reboot.

Saves to JFFS2 and NVRam should survive a reboot.

If you can use CIFS, JFFS is not meant for multiple writes

Well, I've set the save frequency to two days, if the firware save to ram and only commit on the JFFS2 every two days I should be fine. Else it will totaly kill my flash thats why I was asking.

The problem I have with using CIFS is to know what happen if it tries to save data while the CIFS mount is offline (I do not have a computer that is always online)

The data will be saved on CIFS the next time the respective PC is online. Works very reliable on my setup.

Saving it permanent only every 2 days isn't reliable I would say, what happens if something happens to the router in between? I set mine to a net share every 1 hr.
