Well Linksys support claims they have NEVER seen this...which I just can't believe but here is what I have. I have a Linksys BEFSR41v3 with ver 1.05.00 firmware. This last night I went to bed and everyting was working fine; this morning I woke up to no connectivity. Upon further investigation I couldn't get into the router. I think what is going on.. the password doesn't work .. but the DEFAULT one does. and guess what ... all the vaules are now reset to the factory defaults. And for all you cynics.. NO one physically has access to the router because it's locked in another room in another box, so the reset button wasn't pushed by anyone.
Anyone else ever seen or hear of this behavior? Any thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.

I've had a BEFSR41v1 for years, used just about ever firmware update that's been released for it and have never had the problem you're describing. The first thing that crosses my mind is... "prankster". How secure is you password? Any chance one of your friends is resetting it just to give you a hard time?

Everything else I can think of seems a bit far fetched so it's definitely a strange problem.

    Good luck.
