    BEFW11S4 V.4 Wireless Issues

I am running a BEFW11S4 as mention in the subject.

I would like the setup to sit with my cable modem, so I can use the 4 ports for my work-station in the room. Would also like to broadcast the connection wirelessly throughout the house. I would also like this connection to be WPA password protected so as to limit connectivity to those I choose.

This endevor has proven to be difficult TO SAY THE LEAST.

I have found that as I attempt to setup each unit wireless. For example, one unit (XP Sp. 2), will only detect the connection using a Linksys WUSB11 unit, and will only connect to the connection if I broadcast the ID. I have avoided broadcasting the ID, because when I don't and add the connection manually, it is not detected. Likewise, when I broadcast the ID, and password protect: the connection no longer appears on that PC!??!

I have tested both ways with my Powerbook (OSX, 10.4) and it seems to be working fine? But I continue to have the same problems with the other XP Sp.2 PC's I attempt to add? I would just like a combination that allows me to broadcast the connection and have all PC's detect it and be prompted for WPA key!

I downgraded the software to linksys's previous version 1.50 (instead of the most recent 1.52) because I heard it was more stable and worked better. The downgrade has not created any additional issues, but did not fix my original problems?

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
