    Hi all,

I've got a Buffalo wireless router flashed with the Tomato firmware. I have 2 computers in different rooms where it's unreasonable to use an ethernet cable to link them. I cannot put in a wireless card in those computers for hardware compatability reasons, so I'm looking at the idea of using a bridge to link the two computers to the internet via the router.

I've found a Linksys WRTU54G-TM from a shop for £10 each ($15) and the blurb says that this can bridge networks. I know this router has a modified firmware for T-Mobile, and cannot be flashed with other firmware, but I just want to link my computers to the internet cheaply. Will this work?

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

Probably not, I am sure TM would lock it down as to sell more broadband packages. Grab another Buffalo, or a WRT54GL, and set it up. Consumer grade bridges suck, and commercial ones are too expensive.
