Buffer Memory - Switches

    Hello, i need your assistance finding some information regarding the Linksys Switches.

    Nowhere within linksys.com i'm unable to find any information about the buffer memory of the models supplied.

    After a little googling, i found for example that SRW2016 is with 384K buffer.

    But Linksys does not provide this information for its switches.

    So i need some kind of table containing the model/buffer size pairs, especially for the 24-port models.

    Anyone with ideas?

    Yes, just finished the live chat session.

    We have some progress...
    The answer was that all the SRWxx switches are with 2 MB memory buffer.

    May be this will be useful for others also.

    I'll post additional info if i receive such...

    Bellow is some info I received from LINKSYS Supporter fro SRW series
    SRW224G4, SRW248G4, SRW224P, SRW2024, SRW2048

    Chipset : all Marvell chip set
    SRW224G4/248G4/224P are 32 MB DRAM and 8M Flash
    SRW2024 is 64M DRAM 8M Flash
    SRW2048 is 64M DRAM 16M Flash
    MAC Address Table all are 8K
    Each Giga port is 2G bps and each 10/100 is 200M bps count your selt. SRW2048 is 96 Gbps. SRW224G4 is 0.2Gx24+2Gx4 = 12.8G bps.

    Wire-speed forwarding rate (Mpps)
    Another formula:
    Usually, we can remember a magic number 148810. This number is the wired-speed thought on 100M port. The formula is
    100,000,000/672 = 148810. packet per second.

    For 1000M port, the throughput is 1488100. So SRW2024 switch throughput is 1488100x 24
