Hello everyone, just a disclaimer, I'm very new to routers so please be patient with me.

Up until now I was happy with my WRT54GX2, but it lacks the flexibility of 3rd party firmware support and Assignable Static DHCP, which is a feature I really want and need.

I'm in the market for a new router and I can't decide whether to go ahead and order SL54GS or wait for the 350N to mature and have better available firmware. I'm not even sure yet if the 350N can accept 3rd party firmware, does anyone know? What features am I going to be giving up by purchasing the SL54GS and not waiting on the 350N?

If it helps any, the PCs and Consoles hooked up to the network are:

    - 2 PCs via wire connection
    - 3 Notebooks via wireless connection
    - Playstation 3 via wired connection
    - XBOX 360 via wired connection

All the PCs are running Windows XP. Any reccomendations and comments is greatly appreciated, thanks

What wireless mode do you notebooks support? PreN, DraftN, 802.11a, b or g?

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about migrating everything to Draft N. Hhmm....I could save a good amount to just stay with Wireless G huh. Besides the Wireless N difference though is there any substantial difference between the two?
